This Privacy Policy explains how St. John the Evangelist Orthodox Church ("St. John," "we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information collected through stjohnaz.org, including the Fall Festival, 50/50 Raffle, and donation pages.
When you purchase a raffle entry, festival ticket, or make a donation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and — for raffle entries only — your home zip code, which is used to confirm Arizona residency as required by Arizona charitable raffle law. Payment card information is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc.; we do not receive or store your full card number.
We use the information collected to: process your purchase and generate your raffle entry or ticket confirmation; verify Arizona residency eligibility for raffle entries; contact you if you win the raffle, or regarding your order; send confirmation messages by email or text (text only if you opt in); comply with applicable tax reporting requirements, such as IRS Form W-2G for raffle prizes of $5,000 or more; and maintain accurate financial and compliance records for our charitable raffle.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of St. John, our parishioners, or others.
Your information is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider, with access restricted to authorized parish administrators. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We retain raffle and donation records for as long as necessary to satisfy tax, legal, and charitable reporting obligations.
You may opt out of text message confirmations at any time by replying STOP. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of your personal information — where consistent with our legal recordkeeping obligations — contact us using the information below.
Raffle entries and donations through this site are accepted only from individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
