Welcome to our St. John The Evangelist Orthodox Church Family!

It is with great joy in the Lord and thanksgiving to Him that I welcome you to our parish!
I pray that you will find in our community a prayerful and loving home where you can grow in faith and worship.
St. John’s is a vibrant community of people of different ages and cultural backgrounds who are living and growing in their faith together in accordance with the commandments of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Apostolic Tradition of the Holy Eastern Orthodox Church. Although the Church is first and foremost a worshiping community, our parish is more than just a place where people come to worship the living God in liturgical services.
We strive to live in love and harmony, leading one another to salvation and thus fulfilling the words of Christ written by our patron saint, St. John the Evangelist & Theologian, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” – Jhn 13:35 KJV
Following the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ to love our neighbor (Mk 12:31), our parish makes a special effort to engage in various ministries and outreach, which provides our members with the opportunity to serve, and those who are served, an opportunity to experience the love of Christ.
We are honored by your visit and invite you to come experience the Ancient Orthodox Christian Church and worship with us. Visiting an Orthodox Church, for many people, is a new and exciting experience. For those who are unfamiliar with the Orthodox Christian faith it may sometimes be difficult to understand what is happening, and we are sensitive to that.
Below is a very helpful article entitled “12 Things I Wish I’d Known” written by Frederica Matthews-Green to help you know what to expect when you attend an Orthodox Church.
We welcome you to be our guest and enjoy our hospitality. Let our St. John family host your family when you visit. Plan your visit today by registering below on our calendar and pick a time to come either 30 or 15 minutes before divine services start. You will be met at the door by one of our friendly St. John greeters who will be your host during your stay. They will help you and your family feel right at home by helping orient you around our campus, introduce your to others, show you where to be during divines services, and help answer any questions you have during your time with us. They will also introduce you to me so I can personally welcome you. If you come on Sunday, please be sure to join us in the fellowship hall after the divine service to enjoy our wonderful agape meal and fellowship. If you visit on Saturdays, or any other evenings, please stay afterwards to meet and socialize with member of St. John’s. We regularly have visitors, so do not be surprised if our friendly people introduce themselves and ask where you are from. We look forward to meeting you!
On behalf of our Diocesan Bishop, Archbishop Benjamin, my family, and all of us here at St. John’s, once again we welcome you to
Jesus Christ’s Holy Orthodox Church!
God Bless,
Father Andre Paez
