Yes. This raffle is conducted under Arizona's charitable raffle exemption, A.R.S. § 5-513, by St. John the Evangelist Orthodox Church.
The drawing happens on the scheduled date regardless of whether the $100,000 goal is reached. The prize is 50% of whatever eligible sales total is reached.
No. A raffle ticket purchase is not the same as a charitable donation. If you'd like to make a tax-deductible gift, use the Support the Parish option.
If the prize is $5,000 or more, IRS rules require St. John to issue you an IRS Form W-2G and withhold 24% of the taxable winnings for federal income tax, which is sent directly to the IRS. You're responsible for any additional federal, state, or local taxes — please consult your tax advisor.
Refunds, reversed payments, or disputed charges void the associated entries and remove them from the drawing pool, per the Official Rules.
You'll receive them by email (and text, if you opted in) immediately after your payment is confirmed, and they'll also be shown on your confirmation page.
